about SDP weddings
Your wedding isn’t a performance. It’s a once-in-a-lifetime gathering of your favorite humans. And it deserves to be documented like it feels.
Virginia
Weddings are fast.
Blink, and the day’s over.
Your best friend’s speech. That look your partner gave you as you walked down the aisle. The hug from your grandma you’ll remember forever.
You deserve to be in those moments—not worried about anything else. My goal is for you to feel completely at ease - free to laugh, cry, dance, and soak it all in.
Then, when it’s over, you’ll get images that let you relive your day in slow motion.
She captured the happy tears, the love, and the memories you may have not even realized were happening.

A LOOK INSIDE
Here's an overview of what you can expect working with me. My goal is to make this process as easy as possible while sharing all information so you always know what's going on now and what's coming up next!
If you are both loving my work and my approach to wedding photography, we will hop on a call to make sure those good feelings translate. I want to make sure you both are going to feel comfortable around me (since I will be with you a LOT on your day!).
After our call, I’ll send a link your way where you’ll be able to see and review your personalized photography collection details as well as the contract. Feel free to ask any questions that come up.
Once the contract is signed and retainer is paid, it’s official - you have a photographer! Choosing a wedding vendor is a big deal and I can't wait to congratulate you on taking one more step toward making your wedding dreams a reality.
You share your wedding day dreams with me, and I work with your planner to make it happen! I'm on your team and will be in communication with you throughout the planning process. Don't be afraid to send me a message with a "silly question" - weddings have a ton of moving pieces and I've got your back,
Before your wedding day, we will schedule and shoot your engagement session if its included with your collection. This is a great chance to meet in real life and get used to the camera!
You marry the love of your life! I do my thing and cry behind the camera during your vows and first dance.
After you’ve had time to review your contract, you’ll sign and pay the 25% retainer fee to reserve your wedding date.
I deliver a preview gallery within 48 hours and the full final gallery within 12 weeks.
what makes SDP different
You’re not just hiring someone to take pretty pictures. You’re choosing the person who will be by your side through some of the most emotional, meaningful, fleeting moments of your life. With over a decade of experience—and a heart tuned to the subtle, sacred, joyful in-betweens—I show up with calm confidence, genuine care, and a deep respect for your story.
The laughs you didn’t expect. The tears you didn’t hide. The people you couldn’t imagine doing life without.
She captures beautiful candid moments that are so wonderful to look back on, and ensures to include all of the details you voice are most important to you. Our wedding photos show the happiness and raw emotion of the best day of our lives and I couldn't be happier.

Working alongside Sarah to bring together Clemence and Thomas' wedding day was nothing short of amazing and her images were stunning! I highly recommend her to capture your beautiful day!"

The most wonderful day comes with so many stressors, and for us, thanks to Sarah, photography was not one of them. She is so easy to work with, compassionate, professional, and most of all by the end of the night she feels more like a friend than a photographer.

Are you LGBTQ+ friendly?
Yes, I absolutely am! All are welcome and all are celebrated.
What gear do you use?
I shoot on two dual-slot Canon cameras! My main camera body is a Canon R6 Mk II and my secondary body is my trusty Canon 5D Mk IV. I have quite a bit of glass - some of my favorite lenses are my 24-70mm, 85mm, and 35mm!
I also bring along a fun point and shoot camera that I give to you and your wedding party for the day! It's so fun to get another point of view from the day.
How long have you been a photographer?
I've been a photographer for over 10 years now. My career began when I convinced my friends in high school to pay me $50 for senior portraits. Now photography is my full time job and my camera feels like part of me!
Where do I put my hands?
Not everyone loves being in front of the camera - I completely get it! I love capturing candid, real moments, but I will always step in to help pose and prompt you during the more formal portraits (family, bridal party, couple’s).
I promise not to leave you hanging!
What sets you apart?
The biggest compliment I get from couples I work with is that I made them feel comfortable in front of the camera and photogenic in their photos - and I truly think that’s my superpower! On your wedding day, I’m there for YOU and know how to work behind the scenes and with your people to make your experience and photos the best they can possibly be.
Have More questions?
Keeping your memories safe is incredibly important to me (which is why I shoot with dual-slot cameras)! I will always have two backups on physical hard drives and one backup in the cloud in addition to your online gallery.
